Headspace Studios, the production studio that creates and distributes mindful living content across different platforms, announced their collaboration with Kevin Hart’s LOL Studios to distribute a combination of comedy and mindfulness both in-app and on LOL Channels.
Headspace Studios is known for its thought-provoking podcasts, and in-app meditation, sleep, move and focus content. It is the production satellite of Headspace, the global leader in mindfulness and mental training with the goal to improve the health and happiness of the world.
According to Sam Rogoway, chief content and product officer at Headspace, the company’s collaboration with LOL Studios aims to introduce mindfulness concepts through inspirational comedy.
“Headspace and Kevin Hart share a passion for bringing joy to people around the world. So, our partnership with LOL Studios is an organic opportunity to merge the worlds of comedy and mindfulness together to make our planet a healthier and happier place,” Rogoway said.
LOL Studios is the production arm of Laugh Out Loud (LOL), a comedy brand and multi-platform entertainment company that the star comedian founded in order to unite diverse audiences around laughter.
“Partnering with Headspace to bring wellness and positivity to everyone through premium comedic content delivers on our mission at LOL to keep the world laughing together,” said Kevin Hart, founder and chairman of Laugh Out Loud.
The list of content will be released in January and include three segments entitled “Meditate With Me” YouTube Series, Daily “Energy Shots with Kevin,” and “Mindful Runs” with Kevin Hart.
“We are bringing new and exciting content, IP and projects to market that ignite conversation and spotlight voices who are representative of Comedy In Color,” said Candice Wilson Cherry, head of development and production at Laugh Out Loud. “With Headspace we’ve brought together our brands perfectly, mixing Comedy In Color with wellness and premium content.”
